Peformance Dates
Tuesday 15th April 2008:
Welcome to 2008 from Tim Pitman.
I'm delighted to announce some of the big events that I am involved with this year, which are as follows -
18th of April - "Alchsymers fund raising event" Brean Leasure Centre, Brean, Somerset. This event has been set up to raise money for those suffering for the destructive disease Alchsymers. for further information please contact us.
26th of April - St. Stephens church, Soundwell, Bristol. The will be a classical/Ecclesiastical concert within the wonderful church of St Stephens. I find great pleasure in performing in these wonderful old churches, accoustically designed to amplify sound. So come and join us in this most enjoyable event.
7th of June and the 30th of August - "The Glastonbury Abbey Concerts" Two concerts to be held at one of the most sacred historical site in Europe, Gastonbury Abbey! The town of Glastonbury is steeped in history and legend and has been a passion of mine for many years. In recent years Glastonbury Abbey has become home to one of the largest Classical concerts in Europe "The Glastonbury Exstravaganza, of which I was involved with in 2006. I performed with "The Royal Philharmonic Synphony Orchestra". In fact classical and operatics concerts are nothing new to the abbey and have been performed there since the 1890's under the name of "The Glastonbury Festival", believe it or not. However we are very priviledged because we have permission to hold two concerts within the walls of the old church itself. I will be performing new material and inviting some very special guests. This is something not to missed and in the future we may be bringing some of the big name to this wonderful back drop so watch this space.
15th June - "The Midsummer Buzz" to be held at the Hornets Ruby ground Weston-Super-Mare. Organised by Prism Promotions this concert attract up to 15,000 people, who have enjoyed watching band such as "The Strangerlers", "10cc" and "The Wurzels".
22nd of June and the 25th of August - "The Grove park concert", Weston-Super-Mare. This is free concert in a beautiful victorian park. Deck chairs along with refreshments are available and I shall be performing on the band stand.
5th of July - The Winter Gardens "The Royal British Legion (Veterans Day) Concert", Weston-Super-Mare. This is a concert in partnership with the "Royal British Legion". With our armed force fighting in many differant parts of the world and with the goverment cutting back on their support for the casulties, coupled with the fact that there are already many ex-service men and women who currantly need support, never has there been a time when the Royal British Legion is needed. I have chosen to support them in any way I can. "The Stocking Tops", conducted by the renouned Grenville Jones will also be performing as part of this fun packed show. Please come and support us.
12th July - Its important to take some time out and enjoy yourself and thats what I shall be doing at "The Natterjack beer festival". Kate and Ade, who are the landlord and landlady of the Natterjack and who two very close friends of mine have asked me to put on an out door concert in their back garden to promote their ales. There will be food service and it is free of charge. There will be some Royal British Legion buckets around for any spare change so come and enjoy a pint and a sing song with me.
27th of July - The Royal hotel, Weston- Super-Mare in association with The Royal British Legion presents - "The concert on the lawn". The Royal Hotel is one of the finest Hotels in the region with a beautiful lawn that runs towards the sea front. This makes it a perfect place to hold a summertime seaside concert. Again this will be a fully professional concert packed with talent. Also there will be refreshment and food organised by the hotel so come and enjoy a day at the beach with Tim Pitman.
2nd of August and the 13th of September - "The Wavering down concerts", Wavering Down Cross near Axbridge. This is the fourth concert to be held at Frankie Howards old House. At the beginning only thirty tickets were sold but by last year the crowd swell up full capacity. There will be special guest artists and refreshment abound. So come and enjoy a day in the beautiful gardens surround by Roman columns and statues from Frankie Howards famous series Up Pompey.
5th of October - "The Voices Of The Century Show" at the Playhouse Theatre, Weston-Super-Mare. This is one of the biggest shows of the year, where Tim Pays tribute to the four greatest classical tenors in the history of opera. This is a fully professionally staged threatre show, which was written by Tim himself. The content of the show is a closely guarded secret but we are confident you will be blown away. There are only a handful of English classical tenors that can recreate the dynamics of the Italian tenors and Tim is one of them. So come and enjoy the show and see Tim performing on the big stage again.
1st of November - The Royal British Legion proudly presents "The Poppy Appeal/Remembrance Concert" to be held at "The Colston Hall" This is another of the big concert of the years and the beginning of a run of remembrance concerts. After the huge success of last year Tim has been invited back to perform after last years show was hailed as one at one of the finest British Legion show in the country with Military bounds and processions plus many other entertaining elements but hurry all two thousand tickets will sell out.
7th of November - The Shepton Mallet Royal British Legion proudly presents "The Shepton Mallet Parish Church Remembrance Concert" Shepton Mallet Somerset. We are looking to build on the success of last year and the show will contain a guest artist. For further information check out my tickets page.
29th and the 30th of November - "The Birmingham Tatoo" to be held at "The National Indoor Arena" Produced by Norman Rogerson, One of the most successful and important Military concert producers in Europe. Tim will be performing as part of the show both on the Saturday and the Sunday in front of 21,000 people. With mock battles, many world class military bands, dancers, singers and guided through the show by Norman himself as compare. This is a wonderful show to watch.
